You are cordially invited to attend an 80th Anniversary Dinner at the New Castle Country Club on November 17, 2018 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon (4PM – 6PM) to celebrate the mission of the Lawrence County Historical Society.
This dinner will honor the New Castle Rotary Club for their endeavor in the formation of the LCHS in November 1938.
With your support, you can help the Lawrence County Historical Society and the community to fulfill our mission. The LCHS was chartered in 1938 and the mission has remained focused on the following ideals for eight decades.
- To PRESERVE the history of Lawrence County
- To PRESERVE the Lawrence County historic sites
- To ACQUIRE and maintain related artifacts and materials
- To CULTIVATE and foster community interest in local history and its preservation
- To EDUCATE the community on the importance of its history
- To MAINTAIN an association of individuals interested in these purposes
