Fireworks on the Lawn + Exhibit Tour (2023)

CANCELED EVENT – we recently learned that the launch location and height of the fireworks has changed. They are no longer visible from our lawn. It is with great regret that we have had to cancel our Fireworks on the Lawn.
Welcome to our Annual Fireworks on the Lawn!
The Lawrence County Historical Society is once again hosting our annual fireworks celebration on the Joseph A Clavelli Cultural History Center’s lawn, 408 N Jefferson Street, on July 29, 2023.
Enjoy hot dogs, ice cream, cake, and drinks. Stay and sit with your friends and neighbors on our porch and front lawn and watch the FIREWORKS display.
RESERVE a TOUR and enjoy our new Wendell August Forge’s Hammered Aluminum exhibit (see details below regarding payment and reservations).
Schedule of Events
8 pm to 10 pm – Community Gathering and Food leading up to the fireworks display. Hot dogs, ice cream, cake and drinks (available for purchase) and served on the front porch of the museum beginning at 8 pm until the start of the fireworks display at 10 pm.8 pm to 9 pm – Tours of the Clavelli Mansion including the Wendell August Forge’s Hammered Aluminum exhibit are available for $5 per person. Advanced Reservations are required for the tour only. (see fee and reservation details below)10 pm – FREE Fireworks display. Please stay and watch the fireworks with us from the Clavelli Mansion porch or lawn. Bring your chairs and/or blankets please. Reservations are not required.
The Front Porch and lawn of the Historical Society are wonderful locations to enjoy social hours with food, ice cream, and drink as well as view the fireworks. Come join the fun this July 29th!
